We are working with local organizations and schools to offer free adaptive surf lessons to disabled persons in our community. These free lessons focus on providing people with physical disabilities a safe and fun environment to enjoy the sport of surfing.
Through exercise, fun and time spent in the ocean, we hope to lift the mental and the physical wellbeing of our participants making them feel empowered and accomplished.
To book these sessions free of charge, participants must be Parafed Bay of Plenty members.

Sunday Splash
Duration: 2 Hours (approx.)

These free lessons provide the opportunity to enjoy multiple water activities such as stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, bodyboarding, bodysurfing, and snorkeling depending on the day.
Through exercise, fun and time spent in the ocean, we hope to lift the mental and the physical wellbeing of our participants making them feel empowered and accomplished.
To book these sessions free of charge, participants must be Parafed Bay of Plenty members.

Beach wheelchair hire
Duration: 2 Hours (approx.)

We have a high quality beach wheelchair for hire at our at our beautiful Mount Maunganui locations right on the beach! This is the perfect opportunity for those needing wheelchair assistance to enjoy our beautiful beaches and get in the water safely. Assistance is required for use.
Come try a fun and easy way to get to know the surf and cruise through the waves!
Minimum 1hr equipment hire for ages 16 and up. Children under the age of 16 must have an adult present during the hiring process and use of equipment.
Must be during opening hours at our Main Beach location.
Cash bond, ID, and/or credit card details are required in case of damage or loss of equipment.
Under certain circumstances, at the discretion of management or the instructor, policies and procedures may be customized.
